Kim's Little Snippets

This blog is about the ups and downs of being a wife, mother, teacher and all of the other roles that women have these days. In memory of my nephew, Barry Rabon- 9/18/92- 11/11/07

Boy or Girl??

We find out tomorrow. The ultrasound is scheduled for the afternoon. It's funny though because some people at school (work) still didn't know I was pregnant this week. I sent out an e-mail so that everyone will know.

People have asked what I want or prefer, and I really don't know. I think that boys are definitely easier:-) I will update tomorrow.

Little hormonal today

Well, my niece had her baby early Friday morning. I went to Florence, SC Friday after school. Of course, Amber had to come with me (she's all into this "baby" thing). I got to hold the baby for about 5 minutes (and took a few pictures of her). She's tiny- her name is Addison (calling her Addie).

Anyway, I've been kind of hormonal with this pregnancy. It seems like my feelings are getting hurt often these days. I went for a walk by myself tonight just to clear my mind. I'm praying I make it through the rest of this pregnancy without too many tears.

BTW, I'm 18 weeks on Wednesday. I'm still able to wear some of my jeans-YAY!! Some people at school don't even know that I am pregnant- I sent out a mass e-mail today, and asked for prayer for my ultrasound on Friday (level 2 ultrasound). I guess we may be able to see what we are having, but I just want to make sure everything looks o.k. I think I'm carrying this baby the same way that I did w/ Amber (I got bigger, quicker with Josh)- but I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'll update when we find out.

Weekly update

It seems like that is all the time I get to blog lately (about once a week). Josh turned 12 on Saturday and we had a busy weekend. He had 4 boys sleep over and they went midnight bowling (my husband took them). The rest of the time they were playing with Josh's new Xbox 360. That is way too big of a gift (but he was wanting a dirt bike) this close to Christmas.

My niece is at the hospital right now. She is pregnant and due on the 18th (my nephew's birthday that passed away). I don't think it's her time because her contractions are too far apart, but we'll have to wait and see.

My friend, Teresa, had her baby boy on Friday. She is already at home and has had time to download pictures onto the computer- I'm very impressed!! I hope she is adjusting to being a mommy again.

I'm feeling well. This pregnancy has been a lot like my other 2 (not a lot of nausea). I think the parents and kids at school are getting used to the idea. I know it took me 2 months to get used to the idea. It's still kind of a shock when I sit back and think about it:-) I know God has a plan though and I'm just trusting in Him to work everything out. Well, that's about all for now.

News!

It's official. I can finally let the word out. I am almost 16 weeks pregnant. I had to wait for personal reasons, but now I've been able to tell people at school and my student's parents. I had one little girl upset about the news. Hopefully, she'll come around. I plan on going back to school at the end of the year (I'll miss 6-8 weeks). Anyway, we have the ultrasound done in a little over 2 weeks. That's all for now.
